In hot summer, it is a severe test for all parts of the car, especially the oil of the vehicle, which is directly related to traffic safety.
We all know that the brake oil is responsible for putting your foot on the brake through the brake tubing all the way to the brake system, so brake parking. Without its existence, these components will not "move" even if you use great efforts. The importance of brake oil for the brake system is self-evident, so replacing a good brake fluid is important for the vehicle. So today Xiao Bian gave you some tips on using brake oil in summer.
DOT3: alcohol ether type, home, poor high temperature resistance, easier to absorb moisture in the air.
DOT4: Ester type, home use, high temperature resistance, easy to absorb moisture in the air, however, additives (borate esters) that suppress excessive temperature rise and excessive moisture absorption are added.
DOT5: silicone oil type, racing, high temperature resistance, non-absorbent, high cost, short replacement cycle.
DOT5.1: Ester type, home, current home performance, compatible with DOT4 and DOT3.
Most of the brake fluids on the market are synthetic, and most vehicles use brake fluids that are all DOT4 rated.
SPARTA has two types of brake fluids, namely P518 and R622, all of which are DOT4 grade oils. The P518 excellent brake oil has a dry boiling point of 518F (270°C) and is suitable for all driving styles (day-to-day or track day).
The R622 Brake Fluid is a better performing car quality brake fluid, with a dry boiling point of 622F (328°C). It is not afraid of the intense and persistent high temperature generated by the brakes. It is the best choice for racing competitions. In NASA's 25-hour Thunderhill Endurance Race, SPARTA teams used R622 brake fluids, which provided excellent high-temperature performance and helped the SPARTA team win the E1 championship.
SPARTA brake oil has super high performance for all aspects. In the aspect of high temperature performance, the DOT4 level far exceeds the DOT5.1 dry boiling point standard of international standards.
SPARTA oils have these properties in addition to the dry boiling point:
100 °C kinematic viscosity: brake oil in the high temperature conditions, work to have a suitable viscosity value, if the brake oil on this standard does not meet the standard will cause the brake system to wear.
Low-temperature kinematic viscosity: The performance of brake oil under low temperature conditions of -40°C or -55°C. Under low temperature conditions, the lower the viscosity, the better the fluidity of the brake fluid, the smoother the transmission pressure, and the more braking performance. Sensitive, otherwise it will reduce braking performance.
Metal protective performance: There are many parts in the brake system are metal products, this indicator is that the brake oil will not cause corrosion on the surrounding metal parts.
Rubber compatibility: The rubber bowls in brake oil tubing and brake cylinders are all rubber products. This indicator means that the tubing and surrounding rubber parts will not swell due to the pressure during the transfer process, thereby reducing the life of the rubber parts.
