A brake caliper that combines multiple functions in one

      The new ECS brake caliper has an unprecedented light weight, and at the same time, the same caliper has both a service brake function and an electromechanical parking brake function, thanks to the deceleration electromechanical machine developed by Brembo. This type of product is a new member of the EPB (Electrical Parking Brake) series, which was launched a few years ago by Brembo. The products include Extrema brake calipers and EP independent brake calipers (Electric Parking-Electric Parking ). The ECS brake caliper has excellent braking performance, guarantees braking at any temperature, and optimized friction materials make this possible.

Ad hoc control software

       To ensure maximum safety in emergencies, Brembo has developed dynamic braking control software: Even if both brake lines of the brake caliper fail, the driver can still stop the vehicle via electromechanical. Brembo's new brake calipers also have a hot-brake reclamp function; when the car is parked on a slope, the software automatically activates the brake calipers to compensate for the thermal deformation of the brake discs and brake pads. Aluminum is synonymous with lightweight, so components use this material

        The body and bracket of the brake caliper are all made of aluminum alloy. Therefore, the new product can reduce the unsprung mass by 1.25 kg compared to the same performance of the cast iron floating brake caliper, and reduce the total weight by 2.5 kg on the rear axle. weight.

       The new concept of ECS brake caliper is the research and development achievement of Brembo engineers. It has a cutting-edge design and can be completely customized. While guaranteeing a high level of customization, its appearance can be completely comparable to that of a fixed brake caliper.

       It is therefore possible to unify the entire brake system of the vehicle, using any desired coating and marking. The initial configuration of the new ECS brake caliper is blue, followed by the black oxide coating and orange coating.

New ALPINE 110 Assembled New Brake Caliper

       The first few ECS brake caliper products that were born at Brembo's production site in January have been assembled on the new Alpine A110. Brembo also supplied a front-wheel single-piston four-piston brake caliper for this ultralight French sports car, with a hydraulic component size of 38 mm.
